The majority of Beacon Light Road and Highway 16 intersection improvement project is largely complete. The last phase of work consists of applying thermoplastic line striping, which is scheduled to take place during nighttime hours within the next two weeks. This timing is necessary because thermoplastic striping requires warmer nighttime temperatures to properly adhere to the roadway surface.
Thermoplastic paint is a durable, heat-applied material commonly used for road markings because of its high visibility, quick-setting properties, and long-lasting wear resistance. Once applied, it provides clear, highly visible lane markings designed to withstand heavy traffic and changing weather conditions.
We anticipate this final line painting work will be completed by the end of May, marking the full completion of the intersection improvement project.
