Valnova and Highland Homes celebrated the first residents in Valnova, Nermin and Jacie Mustafić Family. Guests includes the Highland Homes LLC Building team, Valnova, and friends and family of the Mustafićs. The build process began with a leap of faith as the Mustafićs reserved a lot in January 2024 and they moved in on September 19, 2025.

As the first residents of Valnova in Eagle, Idaho, building their first home together has been a dream come true for Nermin and Jacie Mustafić and their daughters, Mila and Lily. Nermin and Jacie have had a goal to build their dream home, but waited several years to make sure they would be able to get the right home that offers the lifestyle they have been dreaming of for their family.  Jacie shared, “We had to be very patient. We had to find the right builder and the right community. We had our Dream. We wanted the dream home and the dream lifestyle.  We needed both and that is why we chose Valnova in Eagle. If Valnova was in Kuna, we would have moved to Kuna.”

Jacie and Nermin met Kristin with Highland Homes on a random visit to a model home ina different development. Jacie said, “As soon as I saw the insanely beautiful kitchen Highland Homes built, I knew we needed to build with them!  Kristin was a real person and cared about us and took the time to learn about us. That is how we ended up building with Highland Homes- we fell in love with Kristin and Highland’s beautiful homes.”

People often cautioned Jadie and Nermin that they should not try to build a home together because their happy marriage would end in a divorce. But, Jacie and Nermin have had a great experience,  “Every time we meet someone who is also moving and building, they are  stressed and miserable, but we had the time of our lives. It was so fun!”

Now residents for several months, Jacie reflected on their experiences. “Highland Homes definitely exceeded our expectations. While the community is rich in amenities and the natural beauty is endless, there are three things we absolutely love. First, every morning starts with a dose of joy seen in the sunrise coming up over the hills. It’s never the same, and if you look away for 30 seconds, you get a completely different array of colors. Second, at night, the stars are so bright and abundant, it is mesmerizing. And the third is the peace. There’s just a sense of calm living in a place where the noise pollution from the city cannot be heard.”
